As I began to write this, it was supposed to be an intro for Delilah. I didn't know that
later in the day this would become a Eulogy for her. It is with a sad and heavy heart that I write and read this. She was
taken from me on 12/22/2009 at the young age of seven. The circumstances are suspicious and unsettling. But she is gone and
being missed.
We had plans for 2010. We were going to hit the Weight Pull circuit hard one more time, one
more year. It was going to be her last Hoorah before slowing down and becoming a couch potato. We were going to goof
around and show her in the conformation ring to see if we could obtain her Grand champion Title while just relaxing and having
a ball. The hardest part would have been trying to keep her away from other dogs. Our plans went down in flames in an
instant.
So to all of you that complimented her when we were out there on the track or at a show,.....Thank
you. It was an Honor to have handled her and to have competed with some of the best pullers out there. It was an
inspiring site to see her work her butt off for me. Thank You Fat Girl. You did daddy proud.
WOOOOOORK Momma!!!!
Delilah became part of our family when she was seven weeks old. From day one,
she's been a ball of fire. Getting into everything she could and wanting to play with everyone. We just couldn't find
the stop button and we loved her for it. She stole our hearts.
Her endless energy, drive and willingness to please made her ideal for weight pulling
and easily achieved her UWP title. Her UWPCH was even more fun obtaining. After getting some experience under her belt, she
was consistantly among the top competitors at the pulls. It got to the point that clubs and poor sports would try to
cheat and distract her at pulls. It was actually flattering to us that folks would go
to those extremes to eliminate her from competition.
We did not have time for much pulling in 2009 but we made it a point to get ready
for at least one pull to let everyone know that we haven't gone anywhere. With only six weeks to get in condition, she still
took her division for Most Weight Pulled and Most weight pulled pound for pound. She left Her mark on the UKC Weight
pull track and everyone knew that when she showed up she was ready to compete.
REST IN PEACE LELA
